Tufting is Borrissol's signature technique: with a tufting gun you push yarn into a stretched fabric to create plush rugs and tapestries, full of colour and texture. At our Mataró workshop, 30 minutes from Barcelona, you make it yourself from scratch.

What is tufting?
Tufting means shooting yarn with a special gun into a fabric stretched on a frame: each pass leaves a loop that builds up a soft, plush texture. When the design is done, the edges are trimmed and shaped and the back is sealed. The result is your own piece, with your own design, ready to hang or use as a rug.
Individual tufting: choose your format
Four formats depending on the size of your piece and how much time you want to spend. All include materials and the instructor's guidance.

Tufting is perfect to do as a group. We have two formats designed to share the experience:

Do I need prior experience?
None. Tufting is beginner-friendly; the instructor guides you through the whole process, from handling the gun to the finishing.
Do I take the piece home the same day?
In the individual format you work on your piece during the session. Depending on the finishing, it may need some drying time; we let you know when you book.
What does the price include?
All materials (fabric, yarn, use of the tufting gun) and the instructor's guidance throughout the session.
